Infectious diseases are a leading cause of death worldwide. Despite incredible advances in medicine, good health is still at risk. Since its opening, Younes Medical Center has been committed to improving the health of patients through the support of research and dissemination of knowledge pertaining to infectious diseases.

Located in The Village at University Park in Palm Desert, California, Younes Medical Center is a privately owned, multi-site medical practice lead by Infectious Diseases Specialist Bachir Younes, MD, MPH. Over the past 25 years of practice, Dr. Younes has meticulously assembled a skilled team of physicians, registered nurses, licensed therapists, and technicians who are committed to optimum patient therapy and providing the best patient outcomes to improve quality of life and wellbeing.

  2. Bacteria: Staph, Pseudomonas, Lyme, EColi
  3. Fungi: Candida, cocci, aspergillus
  4. Mycobacteria: TB, NTM (MAC)

As a board certified specialist in infectious diseases and internal medicine, Dr. Younes’ tenure expands over 25 years.

Dr. Younes received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He  also completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Diseases from the Kansas University Medical System in Kansas City, Kansas.

With numerous publications, Dr. Bachir Younes has become a leader in public health, pandemics, and biologic warfare.  His achievements and awards include “America’s Most Compassionate Doctor”, “Top Doctor”, and recognition from the Chief of Staff at the Kansas City VA for leadership during the C.Difficile outbreak in 2005.
